Gary Tucker

I live in the small town of Sackville, New Brunswick, in the Maritime region of Canada. In 2019 I retired after 25 years as a music theorist and historian at Mount Allison University.

Long attracted to looking at photographs, I began making photos myself in 2008. Now that I’m retired, I’m happily devoting more sustained attention to exploring landscape photography. I focus mainly on local marshes, streams, forests, and waterfowl refuges – enjoying the beauties of Maritime nature.

Most of the photos on this site were captured within the region where I live; their local subject matter will often be apparent in their titles. I hope, however, that my images also make this landscape more widely engaging.
